Terre Exotique Ground Tonka Bean, 250g Melamine Tableware and for scraping dough cleanlyTerre Exotiques ground tonka beans bring complex flavours of vanilla, black cherry, almond and tobacco to sweet and savoury dishes. In Guyana, tonka beans are referred to as the lucky bean in order to make a wish, you must hold the small bean in your left hand before throwing it into the river. Tonka beans grow on the Cumaru tree, and are the seeds of a mango like fruit. These oblong seeds are dried for a year, then submerged in alcohol for 24 hours.
