Ran by biker Paul and Roberta Sessums, the club was the rebellious home to country, blues, heavy metal, jambands, and funk, and it was literally home to Sessums and his family. They operated on Sixth Street, at 313 E. Sixth to be exact, until 2002, when the club burned down. But for those 17 years, The Black Cat was a crazy and notorious dive bar with great music.
